Psychiatrists went through the Star Wars prequels and argued Anakin ticks a lot of clinical boxes.
In a short letter, a group of psychiatrists checked Anakin Skywalker’s behaviour against the diagnostic criteria for borderline personality disorder: fear of abandonment, explosive anger, unstable identity and so on.
They suggest he meets enough of them, and that the films could be a handy way to teach the topic to medical students. They did not comment on the sand.
He was the chosen one. To be used in psychiatry lectures, apparently.
