Can playing the didgeridoo help you sleep?
Didgeridoo playing as alternative treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome: randomised controlled trial
Learning the didgeridoo strengthened people’s airways and reduced snoring. Partners rejoiced (eventually).
Ig Nobel 2017
People with moderate sleep apnoea were randomly assigned either didgeridoo lessons or a waiting list. The players practised about 25 minutes a day for four months.
Their sleep and daytime sleepiness improved, and their partners reported less disturbance at night, though presumably more during the day.
Snoring cured. Neighbours not consulted.
