Designers made flat pasta with tiny grooves that curls into 3D shapes when you boil it.
The team pressed carefully placed grooves into flat sheets of pasta dough. When cooked, the grooved bits swell differently, so the pasta bends into twists, tubes and spirals.
Flat pasta packs much more neatly, saving packaging space and making it easier to ship. It’s like flat-pack furniture that assembles itself in your saucepan.
