Does leaning to the left make the Eiffel Tower shrink?
Leaning to the left makes the Eiffel Tower seem smaller: Posture-modulated estimation
People standing on a Wii balance board guessed smaller numbers when they were secretly tilted slightly to the left.
Ig Nobel 2012
Volunteers stood on a Wii balance board and answered estimation questions, like how tall the Eiffel Tower is. Without realising it, they were nudged to lean very slightly left, right, or not at all.
Leaning left made people give smaller answers, as if they were scrolling down an imaginary number line in their heads. Tilt your head the other way before you guess the number of sweets in the jar.
